Summerland Ice Halo Funspiel - another Success!

We had another successful "Ice Halo Summerland Junior Playerspiel" last Saturday March 4.

We had 32 junior curlers ages 8-16, in 8 teams: 4 from Summerland, 2 from Kelowna and 2 from Penticton. Of our 19 Summerland junior curlers, 15 curled in our bonspiel.

We also had 7 coaches present at various times, just to watch or help new curlers on the ice. All teams played 3 four-end games.

We gave out gold, silver and bronze medals to 5 of the teams, and participation ribbons and toonies to the others, and gave toonies for wins.

We provided a snack mid-morning, pizza at lunch, and ice cream at the prize presentation. At lunch we covered the tables with paper and provided crayons and decks of cards, and that was a big hit. 

Summerland CC has been hosting the "Ice Halo Summerland Junior Playerspiel" since 2017!
